The artist specializes in bird-and-flower paintings, known for meticulous and detailed brushwork. He often uses bright and vivid colors to depict the vibrant natural world, symbolizing good fortune, happiness, and real-life passion.
This artwork was inspired by the artist's outdoor sketching experience during peony season in Huangshan, Anhui, as well as by one of China's traditional auspicious patterns, "Happiness at the Top of the Eyebrows."
